Job Overview:Our client, a leading supplier of ancillary solutions & material handling equipment to plastics manufacturer have retained our services to search for a Service Engineer to join their growing team.

Remit:

  • As a Service Engineer you will take care of the service, installation &commissioning and training of equipment supplied to customers throughout the UK.
  • Regular travel will be required during the working week, a company vehicle will be provided and accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered by the company
  • The successful candidate will have proven experience with machinery maintenance, ideally within the plastics industry but other industries will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for the service, repair and installation of a variety of plastics manufacturing ancillary equipment
  • You will be responsible for running onsite installation works, client liaison and job completion to a high standard
  • Provide breakdown assistant both at customers sites and by telephone
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues with material handling and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and parts replacement, to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical issues to maximize customer satisfaction.

Experience Requirements:

  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC or similar qualification
  • You will have a background in machinery maintenance, servicing and installation preferably within the plastics industry
  • Excellent communication skills & a professional manner
  • Self-motivated, reliable and must be able to work unsupervised
  • Good project & time management skills
  • All candidates must be flexible as travel is required throughout the UK
