Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, market leading compressed air supplier.

The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on compressed air systems - compressors, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators, air filtration and ancillary equipmentat customer sites UK wide.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience on rotating equipment such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Centrifuges, Reciprocating Engines, Instrumentation, Generators, Pumps, HVAC, Industrial Refrigeration, Valves or similar. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role
  • Electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air and air filtration equipment at customer sites UK wide.
  • Commissioning and fault finding on compressed air systems - compressors, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators, air filtration and ancillary equipment.
  • Installation of compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
  • Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • UK wide role with occasional commutes to the office in Manchester for part collections and training.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems, ideally compressed air related products.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar with compressed air or rotating equipment experience.
  • Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Service experience in compressed air or electromechanical experience on rotating equipment such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Centrifuges, Reciprocating Engines, Instrumentation, Generators, Pumps, HVAC, Industrial Refrigeration, Valves or similar.
  • A technical engineering degree, FGas, 18th edition or apprentice trained would be advantageous
  • Willingness to travel and cover UK wide with occasional visits to the Workshop in Manchester for part collection and training.
