Exciting Opportunity for a Marine Surveyor - ANYWHERE IN UK - REMOTE + TRAVEL

We are seeking a dedicated Marine Cargo & Freight Liability Claims Adjuster to investigate and manage marine cargo and freight liability claims. This role involves examining the logistics practices of cargo owners and carriers, determining the cause of losses, and ensuring policy coverage.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Investigate cargo owner and carrier practices and determine the cause of each loss
  • Assess liabilities for cargo owners and carriers in the transit chain
  • Secure recoveries from other carriers and third parties
  • Handle both first and third-party liability claims
  • Work with various types of cargo and loss scenarios


Requirements:


  • Roll up sleeves attitude to get involved directly in the workload
  • Cert CII/Cert CILA or BACS qualified (or commitment to achieve)
  • Experience in commercial adjusting
  • Ability to manage time and work under pressure
  • Willingness to undertake further training
  • Willingness to travel for company business
  • Full UK driving licence
