Mechanical Assembly Technician / Bench Technician - Electro-Mechanical Equipment - Eccles, Manchester - £25,000 -£30,000 starting salary DoE - Excellent Progression opportunity.

Are you a time-served engineer or technician with experience of mechanical assemblies and/or mechanical fitting within a manufacturing environment?

Are you based in, or within a commutable distance of Eccles, Manchester (M30 Postcode)?

If the answers are yes , DCS Engineering's client who manufacture a comprehensive range of force measuring equipment are looking to add to their engineering team based out of their cutting edge manufacturing facility in Eccles, Manchester. Our client can consider hiring at a junior / associate level for this role.

What you need....

*To have completed a full mechanical, electrical or scientific support based apprenticeship in the UK ESSENTIAL

*Experience in Mechanical Assembly work.

*Experience of understanding the importance of documentation, manufacturing processes and protocols

*Knowledge of limits, fits and tolerances ideally.

*To live within a commutable distance of Eccles as the role is 100% on-site within an engineering workshop.

Duties and Responsibilities:

--Produce accurate, high quality scientific measuring equipment, using a variety of shop tools adopting techniques both mechanical and electrical

--Works collaboratively with team members as well as designers, engineers, and outside resources to solve complex problems

--Demonstrates and assures knowledge of in house safety procedures for company and individual tool use

--Demonstrates PC-based computer knowledge as it applies to production requirements i.e using CRM systems to locate parts as required from stores

--Aids in the troubleshooting and modification of elements to resolve any design issues

--Supports the company's vision of creating the highest quality and most innovative new proprietary products

--Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and materials

--Participates in the maintenance of the working area and equipment to keep the area clean, orderly and safe

--Desire to learn new skills as required for role development

--Working on own initiative as necessary

--Some international travel may be required
