Our client is seeking a machine shop inspector to manage the inspection department and collaborate with production and management.
Candidates should have experience in mechanical engineering and a background in machine shop and production environments.
An HNC qualification is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, CMM programming, creating First Article Inspection reports, and overseeing calibration requirements.
The position offers a salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000 per annum and requires applicants to have relevant experience.

Our client is looking for a machine shop inspector to join the team.

General duties are

To oversee the running of the inspection department and interface with production and management at all levels.
The candidate will have experience in mechanical engineering and a machine shop and production environment.
Ideally qualified to HNC, but experience is also desirable.
Reading and understanding of engineering drawings
CMM programming
Create reports such as First Article Inspection (FAIR)
Understanding of different measuring techniques
Oversee calibration requirements.
Able to work with Microsoft products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

The role is on days and is paying 38k to 40k per annum.
