We are looking to recruit a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Tutor who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing apprentices. The role involves delivering knowledge through classroom and workshop sessions in Manchester, to support apprentices in developing essential skills for their apprenticeship.
This is a permanent full-time role (37 hours per week) based at Wythenshawe. The ideal candidate should be flexible, confident, and an effective communicator.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Teaching in both classroom and workshop environments
- Meeting apprentices on site at their employers to support via coaching and mentoring sessions one a one-to-one bases to help embed the knowledge and skills that have been learnt in the classroom.
- Individualised learning programmes, agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English
- Plan the end point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan
- Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners' needs
- Maintain a positive working relationship with employers ensuring progression and new leads are generated
Qualifications, Experience & Skills needed:
- Experience working worked in the refrigeration and air conditioning field and experience of commercial and/or industrial systems.
- Current F-Gas qualification is required and understanding of current legislation is key to
- A level 3 qualification
- Good English and Maths skills
A teaching or assessing qualification would be advantageous, however if you do not have this, my client will fund the qualification for you and provide full training.
