Job Opportunity: Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician

Annual Salary: £43,748.04

Working Hours: 37.5 - Shift work, Days, Lates and Nights

Overview: Join our team as a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring that our tram assets are safe, reliable, and ready for operation. You'll work closely with our Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Technicians, assisting in the delivery of our maintenance plan. Your work will help keep the trams running smoothly by following specific maintenance instructions and responding to any tram asset issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining tram assets according to the maintenance guidelines.
  • Participate actively in safety briefings and workshops.
  • Perform maintenance tasks in line with standards, policies, and safety guidelines.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback on any issues encountered during maintenance.
  • Ensure that asset management records, both digital and paper-based, are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Only carry out maintenance activities that you are trained and certified to perform.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline, Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with maintenance activities in a large, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Proven track record in a maintenance role with a focus on safety and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Team player with the ability to deliver maintenance requirements efficiently.
  • Competency in IT, including Microsoft Office suite.
