Assembly Technician

We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Wythenshawe who are experts in the aviation industry who are looking for an Assembly/Mechanical Technician

The Job

  • Manufacture and develop trim jigs for the 5 Axis machines.
  • Dress and mount vac form tooling as required.
  • Hand trim components for FAS and 5 Axis teaching aid.
  • Produce all seat plastics components to the highest quality standard, including but notrestricted to the following processes (scraping, tool making, vacuum forming, trimming, gluing and assembly)
  • Work within the COSHH guidelines and ensure correct wearing of appropriate PPE.
  • Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring a high calibre of quality is followed at all times.
  • Ensure the workshop is maintained to a safe standard in accordance with companyEH&S policies/procedures.
  • Kit components as required.

About you

  • Manual Dexterity
  • Proven experience in Assembly
  • To be competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the company training program.
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Capable of reading and understanding Standard Measuring Equipment SME.
  • Able to interpret Assembly/Engineering drawings
  • To have a keen eye for detail.
