Field-based / remote Business Development Managerrequired for a freight forwarding company in the UK. This company is a UK freight forwarder who coversOcean freightand also some Air freight and Road. This is afield based/ remote role that covers the North of England. Ideally, you will be based around Greater Manchester or Yorkshire. This is a remote based role, working from home and meeting clients on a regular basis. You will have meeting each week with both new and repeat clients.40-50k basic+ bonus + car allowance + laptop + mobile

The role
As a Business Development Manager you will be the face of the company within your patch. You will book in meetings, work a pipeline strategy, focus on seasonal trends and regional trends, you will look at the strategy in the North of England and to win new clients in this area and take current clients on a journey for repeat business and extra container bookings. This is a field-based role, you will be out and about, meeting companies, networking and securing meetings. The northern market is a massive market This role will include all the standard duties of a business development manager.

Experience
We are looking for a Business development manager who is self-motivated, being able to work on your own in your patch. You will be able to design strategies, open doors for meetings and secure container bookings or air freightspace. You will have an understanding of this market within freight forwarding/logistics. You must be a self-starter, with this role being remote based and you must be able to drive.
