Hunter Mental Health is currently working alongside an excellent Emergency Duty Team and assisting in their search for a locum AMHP Social Worker.
The Emergency Duty Team are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the team on a 3 month basis. All successful candidates will join the supportive team to assist in delivering the client's statutory responsibilities outside of normal working hours, receiving regular supervision and support from the EDT Management Team and on-call arrangements.
The client is looking for an experience Approved Mental Health Practitioner and Adult Social Worker to support its Emergency Duty Team on a full-time basis. This role is a vital out of hours role which is required to support the client in delivering its statutory responsibilities outside of normal working hours. The role will require the successful candidate to be a qualified AMHP who is warranted with knowledge of the Care Act 2014. The successful candidate will work from home however will be required to respond in person within Manchester and local hospitals outside of Manchester area to deliver AMHP functions as part of the Mental Health Act.
The role will be based at home however travel and in person responses will be required within Manchester and neighbouring hospital, outside of the Manchester area. ON-call management arrangements will be in place to support staff and ensure management oversight and approvals are given outside of working hours.

- Job Title - Registered Social Worker (MUST have 2 years post AYSE experience)
- Location - Manchester
- Duration - 3 months on going
- Schedule - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Start Date - December 2024
- Rate of pay - £38 - £45 (Umbrella)
Requirements and qualifications required for this role:
- Current and valid registration with the SWE
- Proven experience within a Social Working role
- AMHP qualified
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Car driver to travel across multiple sites
- Fully remote, but will be required to do F2F visits
