Position Details:
- Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Older Adult
- Band: 6
- Location: Manchester
- Duration: 3 months (ongoing)
- Schedule: Full-time Days
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hourly Rate: £26 per hour
A Day in the Life of an RMN: As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to older adults in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Visits: Conducting regular visits to ensure patients’ needs are met in the community setting.
- Medication Administration: Delivering medication on time, every day, to support patient treatment.
- Patient Interaction: Engaging in meaningful conversations to better understand their mental health conditions, while tracking progress and identifying any setbacks.
- Risk Assessments: Performing risk assessments to ensure the safety of both the patient and those around them, while fostering a safe and supportive environment during treatment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Active NMC registration as a mental health nurse.
- Previous community experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Confidence working independently, but also comfortable collaborating with a team when needed.
- Dedication to providing the highest standard of patient care.
