Community Psychiatric Nurse Opportunity – Manchester

• Role: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
• Band: 6
• Location: Manchester
• Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: £26 per hour

As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals within the community to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Here’s a snapshot of a day in your new role:

• Community Visits: Conduct regular visits to patients’ homes, ensuring their needs are continuously met and providing compassionate support.
• Medication Management: Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to promote patient health.
• Patient Interaction: Build strong relationships with your patients, understanding their conditions deeply, and providing tailored support to foster recovery.
• Risk Assessments: Perform thorough risk assessments to maintain a safe environment, ensuring patients are not a danger to themselves or others.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• NMC Registration: Active registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
• Community Experience: Previous experience in a community setting is essential.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with patients and work effectively under pressure.
• Team Player: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively when needed.
• Commitment to Care: A strong dedication to delivering high-quality patient care.
