This position requires a car driver due to its city-wide responsibilities and involves collaboration with social work and health teams.

Learning Disability Occupational Therapist, MCCPay rate £36 per hour Vitalis Social Care are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join an established learning disabilities and autism team.The OT will be assessing the level of care provided to LD citizens in supported living, or those who will be moving into supported living. They will have a good understanding of managing challenging behaviours including sensory and environmental interventions, moving and handling techniques, equipment/adaptations, and assistive technology to enhance the citizen's independence, and optimise the level of care received. The OT will provide assessment to support citizens to move in or out of supported living dependant on the complexity of their needs, and suitability of accommodation.The role will be sat within the Principal Occupational Therapy Team, and report to the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team Manager (OT). The OT will work closely with the Social Work LD team, and Health LD therapists. Must have well developed knowledge of LD, autism and managing challenging behaviours.Must have experience of moving and handling including undertaking risk assessments and providing training to carers.
