Moving and Handling OT £42 per hour Vitalis are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work within a Moving and Handling Team in Manchester City Council.· Seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in moving and handling.· An opportunity has arisen for an OT within social care, to be part of the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team. The focus of the team is to ensure a person is receiving the optimal level of care.· The OT will have a good understanding of moving and handling techniques, equipment, adaptations, and assistive technology to enhance independence, and optimise the level of care received. · The role will be sat within the Principal Occupational Therapy Team, and report to the Moving and Handling Optimisation Team Manager (OT). The OT will be working as part of an MDT team with Physiotherapists, OTs, Social Worker and Assessment Officers. · Must have experience of moving and handling including undertaking risk assessments, providing training to carers and equipment (eg hoists, slings, stand aids).
