The Company:Our client is a well-established and growing firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in the heart of Manchester. They are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to provide maternity leave cover for 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive team in a key role ensuring the smooth running of the office.

The Role:As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, supporting the insolvency team, and ensuring a well-organised and efficient working environment. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing office administration, facilities, and supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for staff and external stakeholders, handling enquiries professionally.

  • Supporting senior management with diary management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.

  • Assisting with HR-related tasks such as onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel records.

  • Overseeing document management, including filing, archiving, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinating IT and office equipment maintenance, liaising with external providers where necessary.

  • Processing invoices, managing office budgets, and handling basic financial administration.

  • Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed within the office.

  • Supporting the wider insolvency team with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar administrative role, preferably within a professional services environment.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with colleagues and external contacts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT systems.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
