Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will support our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students, helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities

  • Supporting individual and small group learning, providing personalized attention and encouragement

  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents

  • Supporting students with personal care and hygiene needs, if necessary

  • Encouraging positive social interactions and fostering a sense of community within the classroom

  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to learning

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, preferably in a primary school

  • Relevant qualifications or training in Early Years education

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
