Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will support our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students, helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities
Supporting individual and small group learning, providing personalized attention and encouragement
Helping to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment
Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents
Supporting students with personal care and hygiene needs, if necessary
Encouraging positive social interactions and fostering a sense of community within the classroom
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to learning
Requirements:
Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, preferably in a primary school
Relevant qualifications or training in Early Years education
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
