Job Title: Technician (Major & Complex Claims Division)

Job Purpose:
Deliver top-tier decontamination and restoration services for structures, machinery, and electronics as part of a specialized team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company quality and safety procedures at all times.
  • Support the project coordination team in delivering commercial and major loss solutions.
  • Attend daily toolbox talks to address health and safety concerns and monitor project progress.
  • Oversee and coach temporary staff as needed to maintain productivity.
  • Ensure the van is equipped, clean, and serviced per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Report regularly to your line manager and provide meaningful updates to customers.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with billing and purchase order requirements.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and potential sales opportunities.
  • Promote the company culture of Empathy, Integrity, and Excellence while fostering positive relationships among colleagues.
  • Be willing to travel extensively and stay away from home as required.

Key Interfaces:

  • Commercial Supervisors, Technical Projects Supervisors, MCC Regional Operations Managers, Policyholders, Loss Adjusters, and more.

Specialist Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of company products and services, basic CDM regulations, and technical decontamination processes.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong commercial awareness, technical skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Resilience under pressure and proficiency in report writing.
  • Manual dexterity and knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Education & Experience:

  • Good general education and previous restoration industry experience are essential.
  • Desirable: IIRC/BDMA accreditation, IPAF and PASMA certificates.

Performance Measurement:

  • Progress through competencies, personal reviews, effective completion of work, and adherence to health and safety procedures.
