We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Reflection Room Manager to join our secondary school in Moston. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing behaviour and building positive relationships with young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily running of the school's Reflection Room, ensuring a calm and productive environment.
- Manage students who have been referred to the Reflection Room, providing appropriate support and guidance.
- Work closely with students to encourage reflection on their behaviour and help them develop strategies for improvement.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure the success of the Reflection Room system.
- Monitor and report on students' progress, working with school leaders and pastoral staff to implement behaviour improvement plans.
- Ensure that the Reflection Room is used effectively to promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and how to engage young people in reflection.
- Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students and staff.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- A calm, resilient, and patient approach when dealing with challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.
