Our client, a celebrated British luxury brand, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the smooth running of their finance function, with a focus on weekly payroll and accounts payable responsibilities as well as further responsibility into month-end accounting and merchandising. What you'll do:

As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's finance function. You will be responsible for managing both weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in processing supplier invoices and managing supplier payments. Additionally, you will assist in preparing month-end reconciliations and reports. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a celebrated British luxury brand.

* Manage the accounts inbox and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding to relevant nominal codes.

* Manage supplier payments, including preparation of payment runs.

* Reconcile supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

* Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the daily cash flow forecast.

* Assist in the preparation of month-end reconciliations and reports.

* Prepare and process weekly payroll for all factory employees and monthly payroll for all salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

* Maintain payroll records, handle employee queries, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.

* Support the Head of Finance and General Manager with HR related activities.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant position brings previous experience in a similar role along with knowledge of payroll processing. Familiarity with accounts payable processes and accounting systems such as Xero will be beneficial. Your strong numerical skills, organisational abilities, and attention to detail will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is required. A proactive attitude towards task management coupled with a genuine interest in the luxury fashion industry will set you apart.

* Previous experience in an accounts assistant or finance role.
