HR AND PAYROLL OFFICERAxon Moore is delighted to be partnering with an innovative business in the Manchester area to bring this fantastic HR and Payroll officer position to the market. This role will be pivotal to the business and assist the operations team, focusing on maintaining the smooth running of the Payroll and HR function. Whilst following set rules and regulations, this role will focus on weekly and monthly payroll whilst managing HR processes. Main duties:
  • Ensuring correct on-boarding of employees new starters to leavers.
  • Tracking attendance (sickness / holidays etc)
  • Keep up to date with HR regulations
  • Unsure GDPR practices are followed
  • Efficiently handle statutory reports from preparation to submission.
  • Weekly and monthly payroll (with deadlines)
  • Deal with queries relating to payroll, benefits, and deductions. P11Ds, P60s, etc.
  • Prepare and submit required statutory reports
  • Keep up to date with payroll policies, update employees when necessary.
  • Support the HR team with ad hoc duties (recruitment, disciplinaries, benefits, travel (overseas and UK) onboarding and off-boarding)
Key skills:
  • Currently studying or who has studied CIPD (Desirable)
  • Experienced and comfortable with both HR and Payroll
  • Communication skills, written and verbal
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation (including PAYE, NI, STAT PAYMENTS, PENSIONS)
