Job Title: Interim Global Payroll Manager

6 Months FTC

Salary: Negotiable (inside IR35 umbrella)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Interim Global Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across multiple countries. This role requires an experienced payroll professional to manage global payroll processing, ensure compliance with international laws, and drive process improvements. The position is 100% remote, with occasional travel to their Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all payroll processing for employees worldwide, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Collaborate with finance, tax teams, and external suppliers to ensure compliance with global payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Partner with IT and Finance to implement new payroll systems and develop global payroll policies.
  • Continuously refine payroll processes for greater accuracy and efficiency and identify process improvements where necessary.
  • Manage third-party payroll service providers and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Lead the payroll team, ensuring smooth operations and providing support to colleagues.
  • Working closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to align payroll data.
  • Generating payroll reports to support and be involved with strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring the payroll system is secure and up to date.
  • Training the payroll team and stakeholders on best practices.
  • Keeping up to date with payroll-related legislation and technology.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience running international payrolls
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems
  • Understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with new payroll systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
