Our client is a global leader in life sciences, operating across three continents. They are currently seeking a Language Speaking Payroll Specialist to join their Shared Service Centre in Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to focus on payrolls within Spain or France or Germany or Netherlands (dependant on language capabilities), with the potential to support other sites across EMEA.

What you'll do:

As a Language Speaking Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing payroll processes for our client's employees across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for performing a variety of payroll-related functions under country and local laws, including processing new hires, terminations, compensation & benefits, overtime, deductions, and attachment orders. Your role will also involve collecting payroll and benefit information from various sources and providing monthly payroll instructions to our payroll provider. You will review and verify payroll data while maintaining control over the Time & Attendance system. Monitoring compliance updates to ensure legal compliance at country and local level will also fall under your remit.

  • Manage and oversee payroll processes for employees across the EMEA region.
  • Perform payroll-related functions under country and local laws.
  • Process new hires, terminations, compensation & benefits, overtime, deductions, and attachment orders.
  • Collect payroll and benefit information from various sources.
  • Review and verify payroll data.
  • Maintain and control the Time & Attendance system.
  • Monitor compliance updates to ensure legal compliance at country and local level.
  • Communicate with employees regarding all payroll matters.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Language Speaking Payroll Specialist role will bring native or fluent language skills in French OR Spanish OR German OR Dutch along with experience of managing the payroll process (Headcount 500+). You should have experience with Time & Attendance systems (Pro-time knowledge) as well as excellent communication and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook is essential. A positive attitude towards development and training, the ability to adapt and be pro-active in order to adjust to changing requirements, and experience of working to tight deadlines are also key for this role.

  • Experience with Time & Attendance systems (Pro-time knowledge).
