Your new firmThis is an exciting opportunity for you to join a well renowned, top 20 firm based in Manchester city centre. They have offices covering the whole of the UK where they build both local and national presence. Due to their years of experience and range of partners, they specialise in services including accounts, audit, corporate finance, tax and more. This is the perfect opportunity to develop your current payroll knowledge and develop within a firm offering great training and development, working with a mixed bag of clients. This payroll administrator job has arisen due to internal growth within the firm.Your new roleYou will be joining a team who are responsible for end to end payroll, who you can both learn and develop from day in and day out. In terms of your responsibilities, you will be looking after the payroll for a portfolio of bureau clients. You will be handling and contacting these clients daily, whilst processing end to end payrolls including pension uploads. Preparing month end journals and reports for posting and audits will be required of you, whilst also maintaining document control systems. Other duties will consist of generating reports for BAC, third parties and PAYE returns; maintaining client records is also expected of you in this role. What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will need prior payroll experience, the desired experience would be in practice, but they would also consider industry experience. You will need to hold a good level of experience and knowledge with payroll, knowing HMRC legislation, pensions, auto enrolment. You will also have had to have prior experience with payroll softwares, preferable BrightPay. Other personal qualities will be required of you, this consists of being a personable individual with the motivation to succeed, as well as being able to meet strict deadlines.
