Page Personnel are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator on behalf of a successful firm based in central Manchester (near Spinningfields)

The purpose of this role is to support the Payroll Manager with the timely and accurate processing of payroll for the firm and its clients.

Description

Payroll Coordinator duties include:

  • A proven knowledge of the entire lifecycle of payroll production from PAYE scheme creation to Year End.
  • Good knowledge of Pension Auto enrolment legislation and the compliance rulings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to establish good client relationships.
  • Ability to use initiative to problem solve.
  • Ability to prioritise workload around conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to assist with the development of the department to improve current processes,
  • Ability to work as a team player and build effective relationships with all internal departments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products particularly TEAMS, Word, Outlook and have good excel skills.
  • Have a good eye for detail when reviewing other team members work
  • Have strong legislation and calculation knowledge
  • Be able to manually calculate most aspects of payroll such as Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, Pensions etc
  • Have a good working knowledge of legislation not exhaustive to Employment Allowance, Apprenticeship Levy, Alabaster, NMW, Statutory payments, Payrolling Benefits in Kind
  • Have an understanding of CIS submissions and CIS suffered.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Be qualified / studying CIPP - beneficial.
  • Have experience of manual calculations such as Tax, NI, SSP and SMP.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Be proficient with MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
