We are looking for a payroll professional to work as part of our Payroll Advisory team, where you will be responsible for ensuring our clients remain compliant with legislation and best practices related to payroll processing, reporting and taxation.

As Payroll Advisor you will be responsible for complex case management and any cases that cannot be resolved from members of the First Line Support Team. You will work within a team providing legally compliant advice and payroll assistance to clients by telephone to support the needs of the individual client and to highlight any options that are non-compliant as well as ensuring the client is fully aware of the risk these options present.

Key Duties/Tasks:

  • Provide advice and guidance on payroll policies, procedures, and regulations via telephone and case management. You always prioritise picking up the phone to customers and follow up any complex cases with actions after the event.
  • Keep yourself up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
  • To log all advice accurately on the internal Customer Relationship Management system, taking ownership of ongoing cases and their closure, within SLA.
  • To provide clients with supporting information and documentation that will assist them in the advice provided.
  • To present training and proactively supporting customers in how to get the best out of the company's Payroll technology.
  • To actively own cases to resolution, building rapport and relationships with clients on each interaction.
  • Make recommendations for corrective action options such as supplementary runs and re-run options in line with BACs turnaround times and advise customers on any associated charges.
  • Assist clients with payroll audits, reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Record and raise any software issues through to the appropriate development teams, ensuring full details are recorded so that appropriate action for fix can be taken forward.

Normal working hours are 37.5 hours a week, 9:00AM - 5:30PM.
