Our client is a rapidly expanding company committed to providing safe and reliable access to medications across various healthcare settings. They work with NHS Trusts, Unscheduled Care, and Primary Care, primarily serving Community and Mental Health Trusts from their network of pharmacies and WDA-licensed premises in London, Gloucester, and the West Midlands.

They are excited to announce the opening of a new pharmacy site in Manchester. They are looking for experienced Pharmacists to join their dynamic team.

The Role

As a Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of delivering expert pharmaceutical care to mental health patients in Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care, including dispensing medications, conducting medication reviews, and offering clinical advice tailored to mental health patients.
  • Ensure the accuracy, safety, and legality of all dispensed medications, adhering to regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Collaborate with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust clinical teams to support patient care plans and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Conduct thorough medication reviews and assessments to optimise treatment efficacy and patient safety.
  • Provide education and advice to patients and healthcare professionals on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Participate in and support the implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient care.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, stock control, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who excels in clinical settings and enjoys working in mental health care. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience in clinical or hospital pharmacy settings, particularly within mental health (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong clinical knowledge of mental health medications and treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially in managing pharmacy operations and patient records
