About the Role
Search Recruitment Group is proud to support Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in their search for an experienced Band 8a Physiotherapist. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional MSK (musculoskeletal) care in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently manage a caseload of complex MSK patients in an NHS outpatient department.
* Utilise advanced practice physiotherapy skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and the development of tailored treatment plans.
* Request diagnostic investigations such as MRI scans, x-rays, and ultrasound scans to support clinical decision-making.
* Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centred care.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
* 10-15 years of MSK experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years working as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP) within an NHS MSK outpatient department.
* Demonstrable experience in requesting diagnostic imaging.
* Ideally, experience in a community healthcare setting.
Desirable Skills
* Competence in injection therapy is advantageous but not essential.
* Non-medical prescribing is not required for this role.
