Associate Planning Consultant

Their team is comprised of talented, cross-sector professionals dedicated to shaping sustainable environments and enhancing community vitality. We are currently seeking an Associate Level Chartered Planning Consultant to join their dynamic team in Manchester.

As an Associate Level Chartered Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert planning advice and leading projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including property developers, government bodies and private clients to help them navigate the complex planning system. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice on planning policy and development proposals to clients.
• Manage and lead planning projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and associated documentation.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform planning decisions.
• Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups to facilitate consultation processes.
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and industry trends to provide informed advice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent.
• A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in the planning sector, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and current legislation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
