We are currently seeking an Associate Level Chartered Planning Consultant to join their dynamic team in Manchester.
As an Associate Level Chartered Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert planning advice and leading projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including property developers, government bodies and private clients to help them navigate the complex planning system. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice on planning policy and development proposals to clients.
- Manage and lead planning projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and associated documentation.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform planning decisions.
- Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups to facilitate consultation processes.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and industry trends to provide informed advice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent.
- A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in the planning sector, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and current legislation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
