COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE (6 month FTC)FULLY REMOTESALARY TO £45,000

NJR Recruitment are currently working in Partnership with one of the World's Leading specialists of Pension solutions. Today, they administer over £1.5 billion of assets.

An opportunity is now available for a Compliance Associate to work on a six month contract (this could be extended, and is covering maternity leave) in which the successful candidate will be responsible for;

- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Compliance function's activities- Support the Assistant Manager on a day-to-day basis to deal with technical compliance and other related queries raised by the business or external stakeholders and provide the necessary compliance advice and guidance within a stipulated timeframe- Assist in the due diligence in setting up Terms of Business with Advisory firms as necessary- Prepare and submit periodic Regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions- Dealing with requests and enquiries received from Regulatory and law enforcement authorities, including the Malta Asset Recovery Unit- Carry out AML/CFT related reviews on High-Risk clients (EDDs)- Carry out client screening at onboarding and on an ongoing basis- Investigate any data protection breaches escalated to Compliance, assess the risk and advice the business on the remedial action required- Report to the relevant Data Protection Authorities reportable GDPR breaches as necessary within 72 hours from identification of the breach- Handle data protection matters and requests for information that may arise, including Data Subject Access Requests and other ad hoc requests received from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and ensure that the regulatory time frames are adhered to at all times- Responsibility for maintaining up-to-date registers; Data Breaches register and Data Subject Access Request register- Monitor all communication issued by the Regulators, namely MFSA, provide a summary and impact analysis of any applicable changes and required actions- Keeping abreast with public statements issued by global and local Regulatory bodies, provide analysis and implement any changes namely on Financial Sanctions and FATF- Adhere to procedures and apply company standards to all work for which the role has responsibility.

Skills required Candidates applying for the role will be self-driven, proactive and with an ability to work with little to no supervision. Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and reporting skills. You will be well organised, with the ability to operate under pressure effectively and efficiently, and manage workload, potentially conflicting priorities. It goes without saying the successful Candidate will have strong analytical skills.

You will have worked in the Financial Services Industry in a Compliance role for at least 5 years. o Solid technical regulatory compliance knowledge, in particular on Financial Crime Compliance and GDPR. Pensions related experience is an asset.
