Reed are supporting Salford Council in their recruitment for a Contract Compliance Manager position. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain robust performance management processes and systems for all housing-related service contracts. This role is crucial for ensuring that the Council's services align with strategic needs and support continuous improvement in line with the City Mayor's priorities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and maintain performance management processes for Housing PFI, Supported Housing, and the council’s local housing company.
  • Prepare monthly performance monitoring reports for the Service Manager Contracts, identifying critical issues for escalation and suggesting contractual remedies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and service users to identify service priorities and strategic needs to inform procurement plans.
  • Implement contractual remedies for contract breaches and poor performance, including monitoring the delivery of remediation plans.
  • Conduct scheme health checks and make recommendations for service improvements or contract extensions.
  • Support activities related to contract expiry and the mobilisation of new service contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing and improving service contracts, preferably within housing or a related sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce detailed reports and actionable insights.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with ability to clearly articulate commercial positions and develop solutions to points of dispute.
  • Knowledge of housing and regeneration objectives is highly advantageous.
