Reed are super excited to be working exclusively with a rapidly growing business in the FMCG industry in Greater Manchester. They are a UK based, international supplier of key ingredients into the food manufacturing industry.

We are looking for a motivated Account Sales Executive to join our client's expanding team. This role offers a dynamic work environment where performance is recognised, and internal development is encouraged. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide high-quality support to the Sales Director to exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with various departments including Sales, Purchasing, Technical, and Production Planning to ensure strong communication and delivery on promises.
  • Build and foster relationships, taking a lead role in resolving customer queries or issues as they arise.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure all orders are processed correctly and within agreed time limits.
  • Communicate and liaise with Account Managers as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and complete day-to-day tasks, whether routine or urgent, successfully and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain familiarity with all company updates and ensure confidentiality of information.
  • Identify areas of account development and deliver appropriate solutions to maximise sales.
  • Present sales ideas and product training to groups of intermediaries, predominantly face-to-face or via video call.
  • Develop and maintain credible external relationships through knowledge of their business and marketplace.
  • Stay updated with competitor activity, products, and services to build rapport and trust.
  • Actively seek out influencers and develop professional and trusting relationships.
  • Manage key cases and significant new business enquiries to ensure effective conversion of high-quality business.
  • Provide support to the Sales Director during absences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least three years of relevant Business to Business experience.
  • Ideally within the FMCG industry
  • Self-driven with a positive outlook and a degree of autonomy in decision making.
  • Motivated and proactive with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility in hours to cover different global time zones.
  • Strong time management skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
