Tradewind are recruiting for a Lead Primary Teacherto start ASAP on a full time, temporary-to-permanent basis for a small independent alternative provision in Openshaw in East Manchester.

* Pupils working at EYFS or KS1 level.

* Temporary-to-permanent for the right person.

* Mainstream teachers with SEND experience invited to apply.

* People with previous leadership responsibilities & excellent safeguarding knowledge would be ideal.

Excellent pay up to £220/day depending on experience, for first 12 weeks.

Equal pay to what you would receive on contract from 13th week onwards.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

Easily accessible by car, bus or train.

You will be teaching children aged 5-11 who all have an EHCP for SEND including Autism & Learning Difficulties.

Due to the nature of the pupils they are looking for a teacher who has previous experience teaching small groups of pupils with SEND and a proven track record of differentiating their work.There are only 8 pupils including some that are pre-verbal and using PECS.

They are looking for someone who has excellent and proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures as you will be acting as the lead teacher of their unit.

  • QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
