We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher to cover a Year 5 class from January 2025 until Easter 2025. This role is ideal for a professional who is ready to take on a challenging class and make a positive impact on their students’ educational journey.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and enforcement of rules.
  • Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and school policies.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching at a primary school level, specifically Year 5 or similar.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to challenge and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Patience, dedication, and resilience.
