KS2 Teacher - Manchester

Tempest Education are working in partnership with a primary school in Manchester that are currently recruiting for a qualified teacher to start with their lovely school from February 24th.

You will join a committed staff team who adopt a nurturing approach to all children throughout the school. You will be inspired in your approach to teaching, well organised and have high ambitions for all children. As a class teacher at this primary school, the senior leadership team and staff will be able offer you a supportive environment.

This role is for teaching within upper KS2, you will take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance with the current school policies and procedures and be accountable for leading, managing and developing mathematics within the school.

This is a full-time temporary role starting February 24th and will last until the end of the academic year, please apply as soon as possible, shortlisting will be commencing momentarily.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance with the current school policies and procedures
  • Plan work for the class in accordance with national curriculum
  • Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of display both in the classroom and in other areas of the school
  • Arrange for resources, equipment and materials to be available in such a way that they are properly cared for
  • To be accountable for leading, managing and developing Mathematics within the school
  • Raising standards of pupil attainment and achievement within Mathematics and to monitor and support pupil progress.
