New Directions is excited to be working with an excellent primary school in Manchester that is looking for a Year 4 teacher from September on a full-time basis. Strong senior leaders have created a learning environment where students enjoy coming to school and are thriving as a result. A recent Ofsted report graded this school as 'Good' with Outstanding feature - with particular praise for the school's behaviour.

As a Primary School Teacher you'll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum.
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
  • Maintain discipline.
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil's development.
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.

To apply the candidate must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Able to provide Referees.
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
