This large, two-form entry primary school in South Manchester is on the lookout for an experienced, or newly qualified, early career teacher to work in a Year 4 class on a part-time basis. As a result of a strong and supportive senior leadership team, the school has very little turnover in their teaching department. In a recent Ofsted inspection, they were graded as 'Good' with outstanding features. This role is part-time, 5 mornings a week, 8.30-12.30 and is to commence in September 2024.

As a Primary School Teacher you'll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum.
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
  • Maintain discipline.
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil's development.
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.

To apply the candidate must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Able to provide Referees.
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
