Job Title: Trainee Teacher (PGCE) – Primary Schools

About the Role:We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Teachers who are currently undergoing their PGCE to join our team and gain invaluable experience in teaching across all key stages in primary schools. As a Trainee Teacher, you will have the opportunity to cover lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups, allowing you to broaden your teaching experience and strengthen your professional development.
This role provides flexibility and exposure to different teaching environments, with daily assignments that will help you grow as an educator. You will work alongside experienced teachers, gaining mentorship and support, while building your own skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Coverage: Deliver pre-planned lessons across various primary school year groups (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and effective learning environment, ensuring students are engaged and working to their full potential.
- Support: Assist in the preparation of lesson plans, resources, and activities as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions in and out of lessons, while contributing to the overall development of students.
- Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and teachers where necessary.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities as part of your PGCE journey, including observation and feedback sessions with mentor teachers.
- Flexibility: Adapt to different school environments, year groups, and teaching styles to gain diverse experience.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a PGCE or similar teacher training program.
- A passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their learning.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively, with a focus on positive reinforcement.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and teaching requirements.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement.
