A fantastic opportunity has arisen in one of Educate GM’s ambitious partner schools to support the development of a brand new SEND department within a school in Openshaw, Manchester.

Educate GM are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher for a role within EYFS/KS1. With full support from senior leaders, you will have the opportunity to gain further SEND teaching experience in a diverse and inclusive team whilst facilitating children to flourish. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEND primary school teacher with great enthusiasm for this exciting full-time position.

The role begins in December 2024 and you will be required to complete the full academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position becoming available. This fantastic opportunity will pay between £160-£200 depending on experience.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and /or other Additional Educational Needs.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Professional Teaching Qualification (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience in EYFS or KS1
  • Teaching experience in the United Kingdom
  • Inspirational and highly effective in the classroom
  • Adaptable and passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential with a passion to focus on high standards
  • Able to contribute to, and work, as part of a team
  • Creative in their approach to children’s learning
  • Reliable and flexible to suit the expectations of the school

  • This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
