Year 3 Teacher

We are recruiting for a Year 3 Teacher for a Primary School in Atherton (M46) to work on a long-term basis starting after Feb half term until July 2025!

The Year 3 Teacher role is to start Mon 24/02/25 and will be a temporary role on supply until Fri 18/07/25. This role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 29 children in the class and there are two full-time TAs supporting SEND children on a one to one basis. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience and someone who has good behaviour management skills.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  • Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
  • Managing behaviour
  • Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

  • You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  • Hold QTS
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Be passionate and understanding
  • Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  • Good communication skills
