Dedicated Year 3 teacher required immediately for a long-term position in a larger than average school based in Droylsden!

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are seeking to recruit a hard-working teacher for a Year 3 class in a supportive, two-form entry, Catholic school in Droylsden, Tameside. This Year 3 position will begin imminently after half-term and pay up to £150-£170 per day subject to experience. This exciting opportunity is open to both ECT's as well as more experienced teachers and offers a long-term opportunity within a supportive school environment in which to thrive.

This larger than average primary school in Droylsden and educates a diverse community and is underpinned by the Catholic ethos. Children are happy and keen to learn and the successful applicant will feel intrinsically rewarded for their efforts making a real impact to those within their care.

About the Role

As the Year 3 class teacher, you will be responsible for an average sized Year 3 class of around 30 pupils. The class comprises of children from diverse backgrounds; behaviour is generally good, with few children requiring positive reinforcement and redirection. Classes benefit from TA support and you will also be guided by a planning partner providing the opportunity to share ideas, resources and best practice.

As the Year 3 teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

-Planning engaging lessons in line with Year 3 National Curriculum standards and using adaptive teaching methods to make learning accessible for all

-Build a trusting rapport with the class based on mutual respect and build positive relationships with parents and wider school staff to share best practices

-Utilise formative and summative assessment techniques, to address misconceptions in learning and plan for next steps.

-Make effective use of ICT to plan and deliver interactive lessons that are exciting and engaging for children

-Communicate well with other teaching professionals, support staff and support the shared vision of raising attainment and outcomes for children.

To be considered for this role, you must have QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and be subject to an enhanced DBS check and overseas police checks (if applicable)
