We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant team in Crumpsall, North Manchester. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and behavioural needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to support pupil progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour (essential).
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
