Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting?
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant team in Crumpsall, North Manchester. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and behavioural needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Develop and implement tailored interventions to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour (essential).
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
