Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Pay Rate: Ā£95 per day
A primary school in Salford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). This role focuses on providing individualized and small-group support to help young learners reach their full potential, with particular attention to those who have additional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons to promote positive learning experiences
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, focusing on students who need extra assistance with core subjects
- Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs, ensuring all students can participate fully
- Encourage positive behaviour and help manage classroom dynamics effectively
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and SEND staff to monitor and support student progress
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a school setting
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum and ability to support learning across subjects
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping young learners succeed, including those with SEND
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with teaching staff and families
