    • To assist the Solicitors in the department with their caseload of professional deputyships and professional trusteeships
    • To draft legal documents including court applications, statements and letters
    • To maintain relationships with clients, their families, Solicitors, therapists and other professionals on the phone, by email and, when required, in person
    • To manage a caseload of lay deputyship applications
    • Opening and closure of files

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Court of Protection Paralegal to join their Manchester offices on a hybrid basis.

The Court of Protection department handle the property and affairs of vulnerable clients who lack the required capacity to make their own financial decisions.

As a Paralegal you would assist the Court of Protection Deputies from an administrative perspective, ensuring that the day-to-day conduct of the matters run smoothly, capturing and recording your time appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Court of Protection, ideally within property & affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• To work as part of a collaborative and collegiate Court of Protection team • To assist the Solicitors in the department with their caseload of professional deputyships and professional trusteeships• To draft legal documents including court applications, statements and letters• To maintain relationships with clients, their families, Solicitors, therapists and other professionals on the phone, by email and, when required, in person• To manage a caseload of lay deputyship applications• Opening and closure of files• Knowledge Requirements • Knowledge of statutory duties relevant to Court of Protection and deputyship files
