Location: Bolton, Manchester
Job Type: Full-Time/Contract - 100% onsite.
Salary: PAYE 20.37 or Umb 27.37 per hour



About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to ensure the quality and certification of electrical hardware in line with company standards and industry regulations. This role involves inspecting assemblies, verifying electrical connections, detecting defects, and maintaining quality documentation.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and certify electrical products in compliance with company procedures.
  • Verify assembly, electrical connections, and surface finishes for defects.
  • Conduct physical damage assessments and intermediate inspection checks.
  • Monitor operators within the Product Certification Scheme.
  • Control and document non-conforming items, raising reports as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality control documentation.
  • Utilize and care for specialized inspection tools.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing and safety procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvements and maintain high workmanship standards.
  • Adhere to housekeeping and safety policies in the work environment.


Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Apprenticeship in Technical Engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, TR23/TR21, HNC).
  • Several years of experience as a skilled electrical professional.
  • IPC 610 & IPC 620 certification (preferred).
  • Training in Manual Handling and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • No color blindness (essential for inspection accuracy).


Additional Vacancy Information:

  • Experience inspecting the work of others is essential - inspecting only one's own work is not suitable.
  • Must have significant recent experience in inspection as a primary role, rather than as a side activity.
