Build Recruitment is proud to be representing their client, a leading Social Housing company in their search for an experienced Quality Inspector to work on a contract in Manchester 

 

For the successful Quality inspector our client is offering: 

  • £37,280 - £45,640 plus car allowance 
  • Core Hours: Agile working  
  •  Permanent 

The Role: Quality inspector 

  • Manage the pre-completion inspections and moving in of our customers and advising on any issues in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to additional costs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service 
  • Responsible for ensuring that a consistently high standard of quality control and supervision is being maintained for each contract, via site visits, site reports, assessing contract implementation with due regard to building and health and safety legislation
  • Maintain liaison with the Asset Management and Neighbourhood teams, so that hand-over arrangements are effective. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide relevant information and advice so that they can manage customers' expectations regarding their homes.  
  • Conduct regular quality checks
  • Liaise with Consultants and Contractors to achieve the required quality standards. 
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and other professional agencies and providers providing first class customer service.
  • Compliance - Ensure own compliance in respect of H&S, regulatory and governance compliance. Adhere to relevant statutory and regulatory provisions - this includes financial probity and identifying fraud.  Adhere to all the relevant Health and Safety policy and risk assessment requirements that relate to the role.
  • Following health and safety regulations 

What our client is looking for in a Quality inspector 

  • A proven track record within house building, building surveying or construction - Essential
  • Able to demonstrate building pathology skills within a 'client side' environment - Essential
  • Good understanding of NHBC Standards and of their Buildmark Cover - Essential
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of customers and explain construction related matters using language that is easily understood- Essential
  • A good understanding of Design and Build contracting - Essential
  • Full UK Driving License ESSENTIAL
  • CSCS registered - Essential
  • Delivery and action focused, able to identify risks and effective solutions with minimal supervision to ensure delivery in a demanding environment - Essential
