Mechanical Supervisor needed in Manchester on a RESIDENTIAL project!
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all mechanical works on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems installations for the residential project. The role requires strong leadership skills, as well as technical expertise in mechanical systems, to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the mechanical installations for the residential project, ensuring the work meets the design specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee the mechanical team and subcontractors on-site, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring the mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other trades.
- Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise on-site, providing solutions in a timely manner.
Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, ideally in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating installations.
- Ability to lead a team of mechanical engineers and subcontractors, ensuring high performance and quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card (Supervisor Level) or equivalent
- SSSTS / SMSTS
