Our client, a leading player in SaaS and custom applications, is seeking a dynamic and capable professional to join their growing team as a Team Lead in Server Capture. This role will be a team lead of a small, multi-disciplinary developers, working on a large fleet of VPN Servers and its supporting systems.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
  • Working with other departmental leadership, such as Tech Lead and Engineering Manager.
  • Understand project specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Interpreting and communicating software development specifications and design documents.
  • Writing application code and tests that conform to standards.

Essential skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP and Laravel
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Terraform/Puppet)
  • Linux environment experience
  • JavaScript/TypeScript for Angular or Vue.js
  • API Integration for Cloud Server creation and management
  • Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • 2y+ experience leading a multi-disciplinary team

Context of the role

This individual will be working alongside the Technical Lead to develop, improve, and maintain data capture systems and the software they run. User experience is the focus of the development, contributing to the provision of a best-in-class experience for users and customers.

Systems are run on both open source and bespoke software on the Linux platform.
