This role will be working within the Defence Arm of my clients Consultancy.


Job Description:

I am looking to speak with Project Managers to support my client a global consultancy support their clients deliver high profile projects across the Infrastructure Sector.

As a member of their growing team, you would be working to help them make a difference with their clients in delivering highly complex projects and programmes.

You would be based out of our Manchester/Leeds office and most likely spend most of your time mixed-working with colleagues and client teams based across the North. Most of their roles support hybrid working.

Key deliverables:

  • Leading, managing and developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others.

  • Commercially aware; experienced in monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets.

  • Demonstrating knowledge and experience in one or more related business/infrastructure sector areas.

  • Project Business Case formulation detailing projects objectives, costs and benefits demonstrating to stakeholders of its value.

  • Demonstrating knowledge and experience of relevant project management skillsets.

  • Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience of working with UK Government organisations would be beneficial, particularlydefence.

  • Experience of project management and/or programme management, adding value at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation, construction and delivery in the context of infrastructure projects and programmes.

  • Previous experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.

  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject with relatable experience
  • Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2/APM PMQ/AGILE)

Desirable:

  • Member of the Associaton for Project Management (MAPM)
  • Managing successful programmes - Practitioner APMP
  • Certified project management associate

Other essential requirements:

Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold active DV (Developed Vetted) Clearance
