Job Title: Project Manager - Unit Manchester

Salary: UoM Grade 7 £46,485 - £56,921 depending on experience
Job type: Full Time, Permanent. 35 hours per week/ 1.0 FTE

About the role:
This role’s purpose is to manage a wide range of workstreams and project flows across Unit Manchester’s operation. It involves establishing, and then delivering, processes and frameworks to facilitate the scaling and success of Unit Manchester’s projects and programmes.

What you can expect from the role:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans
- Collaborating with the chief executive and leadership team to develop and review Unit Manchester's strategic and operational plans.
- Working with project leads to ensure effective project management and timely delivery of key deliverables.
- Building positive and mutually beneficial working relationships with colleagues across the University
- Coordinating project integration and quality assurance
- Overseeing the quality of Unit Manchester's outputs, ensuring high standards and accountability.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance outputs by integrating projects across different workstreams.
- Overseeing financial and operational performance
- Leading financial tracking and risk management, advising on the need to adjust strategic direction as required.
- Implementing a system for reporting on Unit Manchester Business Plan progress and operational metrics.
- Leading continuous improvement efforts
- Initiating a continuous quality improvement process focusing on systems and operational enhancement.
- Encouraging staff feedback on operations to promote regular opportunities for improvement.
- Managing people and technology
- Serving as the point of contact for HR management, including recruitment and training.
- Ensuring that IT systems and processes effectively support Unit Manchester's operations.
- Directing strategic initiatives and contract management
- Managing strategic initiatives to build Unit Manchester’s services, systems, and processes.
- Effectively handling contracts with contractors and delivery partners.
