The Client

Our client is a specialist fit out and refurbishment contractor, they work across multiple sectors including commercial office space, hospitality and retail. They are looking to add a Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to their team with Fit-Out experience. This is a commercial role with some of responsibilities of both Surveying and Construction Management.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects with values of £100k - £1m across Manchester and the North West.

• The co-ordination of subcontractors and the managing of subcontractor workmanship.
• Liaise with the client and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Estimating
• Variations & Valuations
• Budgeting
• Buying / Procurement
• Planning and programming the project including the pre-construction period and any phasing requirements.
• Ensuring the companies Health & Safety procedures are adhered to by all site personnel including visitors and subcontractors.
• Ensure environmental and quality procedures are upheld and reported.
• Support the pre-construction phase including working in partnership with in-house design and attending site surveys.
• Organise and hold site meetings including the creation of actions and meeting minutes.
• Keep the project folder on the company system up to date with regular site reporting and the required documentation.

The Person

• Prior experience as a Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor within Fit-Out
• Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication skills
